Hunters(Peasant Bowmen)-500 for 250g
A-1(2) D1
S-3 Ran-4
The mose useless archer. They fire hunting arrows that would ordinarily be used against animals or some other things. Recruited in times of war, they mainly serve as a large force to distract one from the larger, impeding force. Like the peasants, they have no organizational skills, and only understand the term "Fire". Trying to tell them to volley is pathetic to see, but don't try a triple volley, for friendly fire is sure to ensue, although the output of fire power will definetly be more deadly.
Strong Against: Anything in close-enough range, mainly unarmored units.
Weak Against: Everything, they get easily overwhelmed, even with frontal support.
-Fire At Will: A maneuver used when no more strategy is needed, or when initially defending something. If used incorrectly, you may risk friendly-fire on your own troops. The only 'safe' and 'effective' ability to use.
-Volley: Trading in effectiveness, archers will try to perform a volley, but most will fire a little early, or a little late to make it a true volley. Do this if you want the enemy army to laugh at you.
-Triple Volley: Where the first row of archers crouches, the second row goes on their knees, and the third row stands. They shoot consecutively. This cannot be used when defending on a city wall. Nor is it recommended you use this at all, as most of the peasants will screw up their formations, ending up killing themselves and their own men. In contrast with the volley, you trade in 'safety' for 'effectiveness'.
Archers-350 for 250g
A-6 D-3
S-2 Ran-7
Archers are a good balance of attack, defense, range and speed when it comes to archers. Only equipped with a bow and arrow, and with just a smidgen of armor in their own defense, they are only good at distances.
Strong Against: Unshielded Infantry, Calvary of any type.
Weak Against: Anything shielded, anything close enough to hit it.
Special Moves:
-Volley: A single shot at a directed area by the front archers.
-Triple Volley: Where the first row of archers crouches, the second row goes on their knees, and the third row stands. They shoot consecutively. This cannot be used when defending on a city wall.
-Raining Arrows: It is suggested you to not use this unless your on a mountain, plains, or especially on boats and the enemy army has only just begun to approach you. You will shoot arrows into the air, in the general vicinity of the enemy. Do not use this when your army is engaging theirs, unless your doing it behind their army, or you want to risk friendly fire and heavy casualties on your side.
-Fire At Will: A maneuver used when no more strategy is needed, or when initially defending something. If used incorrectly, you may risk friendly-fire on your own troops.
Short Archers-400 for 350g
A-6 D-4
S-4 Ran-5
Short archers are mobile little buggers. Although range is limited, their ability to evade charging units is almost indispensable. They are absolutely wonderful in light skirmishes, as long as their backed up by a heartier, stronger force. When it comes right down to it, though, they are exactly the same as archers, if not a little stronger.

Long Archers-450 for 500g
A-7 D-2
S-2 Ran-10
Of course, why run around in circles away from your enemy, when you can shoot them down long range? They’ll barely have even begun advancing on your army when you begin shooting them. Very devastating sort of troop… however, their strengths, weaknesses, and skills remain the same, as any archer unit.
Strong Against: Unshielded Infantry, Calvary of any type.
Weak Against: Anything shielded, anything close enough to hit it.
Special Moves:
-Volley: A single shot at a directed area by the front archers.

Horse Archers-350 for 650g
A-6 D-3
S-10 Ran-4
Definitely one of the most devastating units ever imagined. Can you believe that… archers on horses? They can run by you, shooting a single volley, and run back, before you can even fire back. It is the ultimate hit-and-run unit.
Strong Against: Unshielded Infantry, Calvary of any type, Archers of any type.
Weak Against: Anything shielded, spearmen/pike men (provided they’re fast enough).
Special move:
-Hit and run tactics.
-Trodding all over you lesser armored units (only works on units using their legs).
Crossbows-350 for 650g
A-6 D-5
S-2 Ran-6
You want a cross bowmen who can stand up against frontal assaults, and still keep on peppering the enemy with arrows? Then the hardy cross bowmen are surely your weapon of choice! They have much more armor then any other archer unit. Although they are weak against hand-to-hand units of any kind, like any other archer, they can take a hit and survive. Great for leading enemies into traps… shooting, until they get close enough, and then running away, where more cross bowmen are waiting to shoot, and they repeat the process, slowly whittling the enemy away.

Fire Arrow Upgrade: 250 gold per every 100 troops will upgrade those ranged units into fire-ranged unit of that type, easily adding a devastating effect to their attacks.
